Russ Hamilton was born January 19, 1932 and died October 11, 2008.
Russ Hamilton died near his family at home in Buckley, North Wales.Russ was an English singer and songwriter. He had a hit before the Beatles.
His really name was Ronald Hulme and he born in Liverpool. Russ was singer and songwriters of pop music. Russ Hamilton was Liverpool artist to hit the U.S. music scene with song Rainbow before The Beatles. In the U.S. he was an unusual an English singer and it made Russ Hamilton hot for 1957. Russ with live performances had many demands. Russ Hamilton's hit in the U.K. was We Will Make Love recorded in 1957 Oriole Records. In the U.S. it was the hit Rainbow, according to himself, it was due to the U.S. Rainbow to be top 10 in the U.K. Rainbow reach on Hot 100.
Russ Hamilton's the first great success with Wedding Ring which to reach the top 20. Russ Hamilton was invited to Nashville, Tennessee In 1960. And he recorded and signed Gonna Find Me a Bluebird with Chet Atkins and the Jordanaires. Russ has written a lot of popular songs. The song Little One was his personal favorite because Russ Hamilton wrote it for his niece in Canada. Songs I Had a Dream,I Still Belong to You, My Mother’s Eyes and Reprieve of Tom Dooley were very popular.
