actress Susan Blanchard and Richard Widmark death



Richard Widmark (aged 93)was born December 26, 1914 and died March 24, 2008. He was an Academy Award-nominated American film actor.For his contribution to the motion picture industry, Widmark has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6800 Hollywood Boulevard. In 2002, he was inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Widmark was married to his first wife, writer Jean Hazlewood, for almost 55 years, from April 5, 1942 until her death on March 2, 1997. Their daughter, Anne Heath Widmark, an artist and author, married baseball legend Sandy Koufax on January 1, 1969 (but divorced in 1982). In September 1999, Widmark married Susan Blanchard, who earlier was Henry Fonda's third wife. From the 1950s until his death on March 24, 2008, Widmark resided in Roxbury, Connecticut.Widmark died at home after a long illness, according to his wife.
Susan Blanchard is an American actress, best known for playing Mary Kennicott Martin, R. N. on the ABC soap opera All My Children from 1971 to 1975.She is married to actor Charles Frank, who played her onscreen husband, Dr. Jeff Martin 2, on All My Children. They also worked together in 1978 on the TV-movie The New Maverick with James Garner and Jack Kelly and the following year on the short-lived prime-time television western series Young Maverick, a sequel to James Garner's original 1957 classic Maverick. Frank played Bret Maverick's cousin Ben and Blanchard appeared as Ben's girlfriend Nell. Ben was the son of Beau Maverick, who was played in the original series by Roger Moore.She also appeared in the CBS series Beacon Hill.Miss Blanchard is also well known as the television commercial spokeswoman for No Nonsense, a brand of pantyhose.
